Jan de Vriese
is one of our cactus fellows in Belgium. He started to grow the spiny plants when only 10 years old. Now, 26 years later, he has a most interesting and beautiful collection consisting of 2000-2500 plants. Jan mainly grow globular cacti and preferably from the genera Lobivia, Rebutia and Sulcorebutia.

Weingartias Weingartia species. Most species have yellow flowers, but there are also a few with orange and red petals. They come from Bolivia and northern Argentina. Free flowering if kept cold at ca 5 C during winter. Red flowering sort in front is and unnamed Weingartia spec. HS164.

Rebutia pygmaea v. knizei WR 676a Rebutia pygmaea v. knizei WR 676a just planted in own pots. The plants are ca 20-30 mm high and one of the few yellow flowering varieties of Rebutia pygmaea.
