SuccSeed - Melocactus

	Melocactus
General:	Globular with mostly thick spines on straight ribs. Cephalium from the top with small flowers, mostly pinkish.
Growing:	Full sun, water weekly in summer, 15-20 C in winter. Easy from seed, but need many years to reach flowering size (with cephalium). Smallest species is M matanzanus which can flower when appr. 7 cm across. Perfect to grow inside on windowshill all year round.
Habitat:	Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Carribean islands
