  Ariocarpus
General: Odd looking, low plants with thick roots and ribs in strange tubercles. Green to grey, often with a woolly apex. Flowers in late season, mostly pinkish but also white to yellow.
Growing: In summer full sun and water once a week in good weather. Temps in winter 5-10 C and totally dry. Easy from seed but very slow growing. Easiest to flower is kotschoubeyanus and agavoides, but it will anyway take 3-4 years.
