Sulcorebutia cochabambina JK 112 is easily found in habitat when it is flowering! If not, they are hardly visible among stones and dry grasses. This population grows at 3550 metres east of Arani. So far a rather rare sort in cultivation. Very beautiful because of its long variable spines.
     Oreocereus aff. celsianus growing at high altitude in Culpina, Bolivia. The long white hairs which cover the impressive stem and the long, strong  red to yellow spines makes it to one of them most attractive cacti in habitat as well as in your collection. It can stand very low temperatures if kept dry. 
Tephrocactus spec. discovered along the road Sucre - Potosi. It makes low clumps of small heads.
Spectacular flowers: Lobivia ferox .v longispina at Cieneguillas! This variety can have almost any flower colour.

Iscayachi, Tarija in southern Bolivia, one of the most fascinating places for a Lobivia and Rebutia enthusiast! Here you can find many interesting plants; R. pygmaea forms, R. spegazziniana, R. steinmannii, R. fusca, Lobivia chrysochete v. tenuispina, Sulcorebutia tarijensis and many more!
Lobivia ferox. longispina from Cieneguillas, 3550 metres. Heavy spined plants with variable flower colours; red, yellow and white. Other plants growing in the nearby are different species of Parodia, Rebutia, Opuntia and Bromeliads.
Lobivia chrysochete v. tenuispina? JK 471 from San Antonio. A broad plant full of buds and flowers ready to open!

Lobivia ferox v. longispina? JK 476 from Cucho Ingenio, 3800 metres. Very large plants with long and beautiful spines. Flowers unknown. Grows together with Parodia, Trichocereus, Cleistocactus and Lobivia pugionacantha var.
Lobivia pentlandii v. aurantiaca JK 477 from Potosi-Uyuni, 3500 metres. Very spiny plants up to 30 cm in diameter! Flowers yellow. Other plants here are Lobivia ferox v. longispina and Rebutia (Mediolobivia) spec
Lobivia ferox JK 480 on mountains along the road Challapata-Pazna, 3650 metres. Plant in buds, flowers unknown.
